Michael Phillips

Michael Phillips has been trying to master the skills of an Aviation Educator for almost fifty years. He has had the privilege of logging more than 14,000 hours of dual given in a multitude of airplanes from tailwheel to single engine turboprops.


A Gold Seal Instructor, Michael has been a Master Instructor for over eighteen years. He holds CFI, CFII, MEI, IGI, seaplane and glider ratings, and is the recipient of the FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot award. He is also a Charter member of the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, serves as the Chairman of the SAFE Board of Directors, and is the National Coordinator for the Master Instructor Continuing Education Program. Michael has been an independent instructor most of his aviation career and is the principal at Aviation Instruction Simulator Center in Camarillo, CA and is on the teaching staff at CP Aviation in Santa Paula, CA
