SAFE member David Faile, the 1999 National CFI of the Year, recently renewed his Master Instructor Designation for the seventh time. David is only one of seven instructors worldwide to earn the designation seven or more times. He first earned this national accreditation in 1998, and has held it continuously ever since.

A resident of Fairfield, CT, David instructs at Bridgeport’s Sikorsky Memorial Airport (KBDR). He also flies a search and rescue helicopter, Eagle One, as a member of the Fairfield Police Department. He is also an AOPA Airport Support Network representative as well as a FAASTeam lead representative in the FAA’s Windsor Locks FSDO area.
