How long have you been involved in aviation education? Since 1977. What’s your favorite part of what you do in aviation education? Flight instruction and participating in aviation safety seminars. What’s your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education? There are NO least favorite parts to me in aviation education. Do you have a memorable aviation experience you’d like to share? My first solo flight! Why did you join SAFE? I want to see if SAFE becomes a viable organization that supports the professional flight instructor. What would you like to see change in aviation? The price of fuel (much lower, only in my dreams) and better trained, more capable pilots on all certificate levels. Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished? Less government interference in the industry. Any accomplishments in or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you’d like to mention? All my students are still living, except a few that passed from non-aviation related deaths. Who are your role models in aviation? My Dad, military aviators, and my local circle of aviators who I rely on for divine guidance. Anything else you’d like to add? Best of luck with the SAFE organization; hope it evolves into what we members hope it will! |
