Mike Gaffney has achieved a Masters Degree and has served some of the top aviation and technology companies in the US in a variety of technology and engineering functions. He was selected as the 2007 FAA National Flight Instructor of the Year. He is a FAA Safety Team Lead Representative for the North Texas FSDO and has served this role from 2004 – today for the St. Louis, North Florida and then North Texas FSDOs. He is an A&P mechanic, ATP pilot with a CFI, CFII, and CFMEI and over 3,700 hours to his credit. He has served as a Cirrus CSIP, Cessna CFAI, Diamond Factory Authorized Flight and Ground Instructor, and Quest Kodiak Factor- trained Instructor. He was the course designer and Industry Check Airman for the FAA Safety Inspector TAA/Indoctrination and Light Twin Refresher training program offered by FAA Division AFS520. He is the author of the G1000 and the Avidyne Entegra Complete Tutorial software published worldwide by ASA. He is a Master CFI (MCFI) and Master Ground Instructor (MGI) as certified by the Master Instructors, National Review Board and has been designated so consistently since 2006.
