SAFE is tremendously excited – and greatly honored – to be affiliating with the Bob Hoover Legacy Foundation and Aero News Network to expand the reach of our SAFE CFI-PRO™ initiative. This program targets new CFIs in an effort to rapidly improve professionalism and thereby increase aviation safety everywhere.

Active aviation educators are the “primary influencers” in all parts of aviation, potentially touching 30-50 pilots a week in their CFI position. The SAFE CFI-PRO™ curriculum will be deployed nationally to provide the “missing manual” for new CFIs, elevating their skills from “wet temporary” to professional educator. This program closes the gap from “good to great” with tips, techniques and tools from DPEs and seasoned CFI professionals.

Bob Hoover was an amazing airshow performer, having first demonstrated new aircraft in the military and then thrilled crowds around the world with his amazing “stick and rudder” skills. But the heart of his presentation was an educational  message of professionalism and careful excellence. The heart of flight safety requires that all CFIs embrace this same commitment to excellence to assure the future safety of all their learners. More information here and at SAFEpilots.
