Ever since I was five years old, aircraft of all kinds have been the main feature of my life. I started saving for flight lessons when I was 11 years old...mowing lawns, washing dishes, throwing newspapers and shoveling snow. By age 17, I had my Private Pilot's Certificate and by my 26th birthday I was carrier qualified in the F-14A Tomcat. Flying and teaching is what I do, and as I transition out of the U.S. Navy after 25 years of service, I am still as excited to teach in my mighty C-152 with my students as I was back when I was a student...under the mentorship of a great instructor at Brandywine Airport, in PA, when it was a grass field with a ten-degree dog-leg in the middle.
